MARTA PARTNERS WITH DAVID BANNER TO LAUNCH NEXT PHASE OF RIDE WITH RESPECT CAMPAIGN

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is proud to announce award-winning artist, actor, producer, and activist David Banner as the face of the next phase of its Ride with Respect campaign to encourage customers to “Ride Safe. Ride with Respect.”

Building on the momentum of MARTA’s public awareness efforts during FIFA World Cup 2026™, the new campaign focuses on creating a safer, more welcoming transit experience for everyone. Through a new promotional video and digital campaign, David Banner delivers a powerful message about respect aboard MARTA trains, buses, and stations.

The campaign opens with riders displaying disruptive and discourteous behavior, including playing loud music, littering, and ignoring fellow passengers. When David Banner enters the scene, the atmosphere changes. His commanding presence reminds riders that respect is not optional and that it is what keeps Atlanta moving.

“Ride with Respect is about creating an environment on MARTA where every customer and employee feels safe and valued,” said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt. “Through his authenticity, strength, and credibility, David Banner challenges us to think differently about how we treat one another, making him the ideal partner to help reinforce the culture of safety and respect we are building across our system.”

Known for his influential career in music, film, and community leadership, David Banner has long used his platform to inspire accountability, respect, and positive change. His partnership with MARTA reflects a shared commitment to fostering a transit system where everyone can travel with confidence.

“Respect is not complicated,” said David Banner. “It is about looking out for each other, treating people the way you would want to be treated, and understanding that we are all sharing this space. Whether you are riding one stop or across the city, we all have a responsibility to make the ride better. Ride safe. Ride with respect.”

The Ride with Respect campaign reminds customers that simple actions make a significant difference. Keeping aisles clear, using headphones, disposing of trash properly, respecting fellow riders and MARTA employees, and following MARTA’s safety rules all help create a transit system that is safe, clean, and reliable for everyone.

The campaign will appear across MARTA’s digital platforms, stations, trains, buses, and social media channels throughout the region.

Hardman Creative Group, an Atlanta-based, veteran-owned creative agency, led the filming and creative direction for the Ride with Respect campaign.
