Mr. Lopes has over 35 years of progressively responsible expertise in transit operations, project management, and business planning. In his most recent role, he served as the CEO and General Manager of the Ontario Line for Transdev Canada. In this role, he led the strategy for Transdev’s Ontario and Manitoba Executive Board to integrate metro, light rail, and other mass transit solutions within a regional multimodal context of additional service offerings tied to customer mobility needs. Mr. Lopes’ professional experience includes over five years with Transdev Canada directing daily operations and maintenance teams for the Bus Rapid Transit and Light Rail; and a 30-year career with Toronto Transit Commission. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce from York University. Additionally, he holds certifications as a Project Management Professional and Certified Human Resources Leader.
