MARTA frequently operates on special rail schedules to adjust service due to track work, holidays, and/or special events. Please see the posted special schedules for the indicated dates below.

Saturday, September 5, 2026 

All rail lines operate on special Saturday schedules, with service beginning at approximately 5 a.m., and trains operating on 12-minute frequencies until 3 p.m. (6-minute frequencies on the North/South line between Airport and Lindbergh Center & on the East/West line between Ashby and King Memorial), 15 minutes schedules thereafter.

Rail schedule changes are frequently necessary to allow for track work. MARTA normally operates trains on two tracks, but we have to take one track out of service to perform maintenance. This requires all trains to share one track. We create special service schedules so that you can accurately plan your trips during this track work.
