MARTA BREEZE CARD NOW AVAILABLE IN GOOGLE WALLET AND SAMSUNG WALLET, COMING SOON IN APPLE WALLET

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) announced today that new, better Breeze cards are available in Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet for convenient use. MARTA customers and riders of regional transit partners ATL Xpress, CobbLinc, Connect Douglas, and Ride Gwinnett can easily add a new Breeze card to their Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet to pay for trips, load fare, and see their trip history. Breeze cards on iPhone and Apple Watch are coming soon.

Adding a Breeze card to your Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet is simple:

  • Open Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet on your Android device.
  • Hit the + icon.
  • Choose Transit Pass/Card.
  • Search for “Atlanta,” “Breeze” or “MARTA” in Google Wallet.
  • Search for “Atlanta” or “Breeze” in Samsung Wallet.
  • Add the transit card.

To ride:

  • No need to unlock your smart device. Just tap it on a faregate or orange validator.

Note there are limited fare options available in the mobile wallet. To ensure the best experience, customers are encouraged to link their virtual Breeze card to their Breeze account at breezecard.com or on the new Breeze Mobile app.

Customers with physical Breeze cards can easily convert them to virtual cards in Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet, and all passes and balances on your account are seamlessly transferred to your phone. Physical Breeze cards are deactivated once converted to virtual.

MARTA has modernized its entire Breeze fare payment system including new faregates and validators, ticket vending machines, mobile app, and Breeze cards. The new system allows customers to tap a bank card (all major credit and debit cards accepted) or mobile wallet directly at the faregate or validator.

All customers of MARTA and its regional transit partners must convert to the new, better Breeze system by May 2, 2026. Installation of fare equipment continues in some areas, but new faregates will close beginning May 2, 2026, and fare payment will be required.
