MARTA BUS AND MOBILITY SERVICE IMPACTED DUE
TO I-285 WEST SIDE CONSTRUCTION
ATLANTA –
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) bus and Mobility
paratransit service will operate as scheduled this weekend, but customers
should expect delays and longer wait times due to the increase in traffic on
surface streets caused by the closure of I-285 in both directions between
Langford Parkway/Highway 166 at Exit 5 and Cascade Road at Exit 7. The closure
is scheduled to run from tonight, Friday, August 7 at 7 p.m., until 5 a.m. on

delayed by increased traffic on surface streets.
While the
bus routes listed above and Mobility service will be most directly impacted by
the I-285 closure, all MARTA bus routes, including on-demand service
MARTA Reach, and bus rapid transit service MARTA Rapid, may also be
delayed due to increased traffic.
