MARTA
AND CITY OF RIVERDALE INVITE RESIDENTS TO SEPTEMBER 30 TOWN HALL
RIVERDALE, Ga. – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA),
in partnership with the City of Riverdale, Clayton County, and project
partners, invites residents and business owners to attend a Town Hall on
Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Riverdale City
Hall, located at 7200 Church Street, Riverdale, Ga. 30274.
The
Town Hall will provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about
current MARTA projects including the Rapid B-Line (Southlake BRT) project, a
planned bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor designed to improve connections within
Clayton County communities such as Riverdale and key destinations throughout
the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet project representatives
and ask questions.
During
the event, representatives from MARTA, the City of Riverdale, Clayton County,
and project partners will share information about:
- How BRT works
- The planned Rapid B-Line corridor and proposed station
amenities
- How the project is intended to support Riverdale
development and improve connections throughout Clayton County.
- Project progress and next steps.
- And other projects in Clayton County.

About the MARTA Rapid B-Line
The
MARTA Rapid B-Line (Southlake BRT) is a planned bus rapid transit project
designed to provide faster, more reliable transit service while improving
connections throughout Clayton County. The project includes proposed stations,
mobility improvements, and enhanced transit infrastructure intended to support
travel between neighborhoods, employment centers, community destinations, and
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The project is being
developed through collaboration between MARTA, Clayton County, local
municipalities, and project partners.
