MARTA Celebrates Opening of Brady Facility for Mobility
On Monday, Jan. 25, MARTA will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Brady Facility —a $50 million, state-of-the-art construction project that will house Mobility(paratransit) vehicles in addition to 400 employees, 15 repair bays, five fueling stations, three vehicle-washing bays and an employee wellness center.
When the facility was built in 1974, it served as MARTA’s base for bus and maintenance operations. In 1997, the site was converted for MARTA’s Mobility vehicles and has not had any substantial renovations in nearly 20 years. This important project signals MARTA’s commitment to improving the work environment for employees and enhancing service for Mobility customers.
