MARTA CELEBRATES CUSTOMERS, HIGHLIGHTS SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AS PART OF GLOBAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE DAY
ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) joins transit systems and organizations around the world in celebrating Customer Experience (CX) Day on Tuesday, Oct. 7. As part of CX Day, MARTA will celebrate its customers with a series of activities and a social media challenge where riders can win prizes and highlight important projects that improve and enhance the customer experience.
Customers are encouraged to participate in a special CX Day social media challenge by sharing a favorite MARTA destination, moment, or routine using #MyMARTAStory and tagging @MARTAtransit. Entries submitted between Oct. 7 and Oct. 14 will be entered into a raffle to win one of ten MARTA prize packs, Winners will be announced Oct. 17 on social media.
Look for MARTA Customer Experience staff on the system on Oct. 7 where customers can test their MARTA knowledge with trivia contests and have a chance to win exclusive MARTA swag.
“I like to say MARTA provides public transportation, but we are in the customer service industry,” said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt. “We must strive for routine excellence every day by providing outstanding customer service, welcoming, assisting, and supporting our riders at every part of their journey.”
MARTA remains committed to enhancing the customer journey with the following system and technological improvements:
- A redesigned website serving as MARTA’s “digital front door” with real-time tracking, improved trip planning, and seamless access to system information.
- A single MARTA app that will combine trip planning, fare payment, issue reporting, and schedule information
- Enhanced digital signage across stations and stops for clear, real-time information at every touchpoint.
- A new fare collection system with new Breeze cards, app, faregates, ticket vending machines, and open payment and mobile wallet options.
