MARTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS, ELECTS LEADERSHIP

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors welcomes new members and elects leadership for 2026.

New board members include Sarah Galica (DeKalb County), Devon Hudson (DeKalb County), Ryan Loke (Governor's Appointee), and Elizabeth Bolton-Harris (Fulton County) and Shayna Pollock (DeKalb County) who were appointed to the board last spring.

"We are grateful for the service of our departing board members Stacy Blakley, Jim Durrett, Bill Floyd, Rita Scott, and Thomas Worthy and welcome our new members during this exciting and transformative time at MARTA," said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt.

Jennifer Ide (Atlanta) will remain Chair of the MARTA Board of Directors and Katie Powers (Clayton County) Immediate Past Chair. Other officers for the new year are Vice Chair Al Pond (Fulton County), Secretary Valencia Williamson (Clayton County), and Treasurer Shayna Pollock. Rod Frierson (DeKalb County) will continue serving as treasurer until April 1 while Ms. Pollock is on family leave.

The MARTA Board of Directors is comprised of 13 voting members representing Clayton, DeKalb, and Fulton counties and the City of Atlanta, a Governor's appointee, and two ex-officio members from the Georgia Department of Transportation and the State Road and Tollway Authority. The policy-setting board meets monthly to address challenges and opportunities facing the Authority, while exploring ways to innovate and expand the system.
