MARTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS, ELECTS LEADERSHIP
ATLANTA – The Metropolitan
Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors welcomes new members
and elects leadership for 2026.
New board members include Sarah Galica (DeKalb
County), Devon Hudson (DeKalb County), Ryan Loke (Governor's Appointee), and
Elizabeth Bolton-Harris (Fulton County) and Shayna Pollock (DeKalb County) who
were appointed to the board last spring.
"We are grateful for the service of our
departing board members Stacy Blakley, Jim Durrett, Bill Floyd, Rita Scott, and
Thomas Worthy and welcome our new members during this exciting and
transformative time at MARTA," said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO
Jonathan Hunt.
Jennifer Ide (Atlanta) will
remain Chair of the MARTA Board of Directors and Katie Powers (Clayton County)
Immediate Past Chair. Other officers for the new year are Vice Chair Al Pond
(Fulton County), Secretary Valencia Williamson (Clayton County), and Treasurer
Shayna Pollock. Rod Frierson (DeKalb County) will continue serving as treasurer
until April 1 while Ms. Pollock is on family leave.
The MARTA Board of Directors is comprised of 13
voting members representing Clayton, DeKalb, and Fulton counties and the City
of Atlanta, a Governor's appointee, and two ex-officio members from the Georgia
Department of Transportation and the State Road and Tollway Authority. The
policy-setting board meets monthly to address challenges and opportunities
facing the Authority, while exploring ways to innovate and expand the
system.
