Construction & Service Impacts
Better Breeze fare equipment is being installed in phases systemwide to maintain access to all stations.
During construction:
- Rail and bus service is unchanged.
- Fare is required to ride. Customers must pay their fare with a new (orange) Breeze card or ticket, virtual Breeze card, credit or debit card, or mobile wallet. Old Breeze cards and the old Breeze Mobile 2.0 app DO NOT work on the new Breeze system. Ticket vending machines are available at rail stations.

- Installation of new fare equipment will continue for the next several months, so please look for signs if you need assistance navigating the system or paying your fare.

RIDER ALERT
Beginning Monday August 10, Oakland City Station’s east entrance on Murphy Avenue will close for construction. Use the west entrance on Lee Street. To reach the west entrance, walk or ride Route 79 using the temporary stop at the intersection of Murphy and Dill Avenues. The closure will last approximately 4-5 weeks.
