The NextGen Bus Network is Coming!

Bus routes are changing on April 18, 2026 with the launch of MARTA’s NextGen Bus Network

In the largest and most comprehensive redesign since the 1970s, MARTA is overhauling its bus network to improve service through creating a Smarter, Faster, and Better network for the Atlanta region – the NextGen Bus Network.  The new network was shaped by the vision of MARTA’s Board of Directors with guidance and input from our customers, jurisdictional partners, and members of the public to reflect the changing nature of the Atlanta region.

As part of the new network, MARTA is launching a new on-demand service, MARTA Reach, on March 7, 2026 in 12 different geographic zones across the MARTA bus network. Customers in these zones will be able use an app or call in to get a ride from place-to-place within the zone. Reach will begin service in advance of the full NextGen Bus Network, giving riders an early introduction and preview.  To learn more about MARTA Reach visit www.itsmarta.com/reach.
