The Engagement and Outreach Unit is dedicated to building meaningful connections between the Authority, its employees, and the community it serves. Through strategic communication, outreach events, and collaborative partnerships, the unit fosters awareness, encourages participation, and ensures voices are heard
to cultivate trust, inclusivity, and long-lasting relationships that support the Authority’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are programs within the Department of Corporate Compliance and Engagement where groups of staff members who have common interests and/or face common issues can come together to support each other, build community, share concerns, and identify solutions to further the mission,
vision, and values of MARTA. Allyship is encouraged and supported.
ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster an inclusive workplace aligned with the organizational goals, business practices, and objectives.
Employee
Resource Groups strengthen MARTA by:
- Building community — bringing people together within MARTA who share similar interests and/or experiences.
- Promoting a culture of inclusion.
- Being an advocate, partner and sounding board to MARTA equity and inclusion strategies, best practices, and business initiatives.
- Enhancing professional growth, career development, and leadership development.
- Being a resource for information on how to serve and engage the community.
- Assisting with community outreach efforts.
There are five Employee Resource Groups at MARTA.
