Construction will impact travel routes in several ways. Please see the information below on what you can expect during construction hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. To maintain the project schedule, the team may do night work to complete projects in a timely manner. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working diligently to finish the project. If you have any concerns, please reach out to the Rapid Response Team email (

Construction is resuming in the Downtown Loop!
Construction activity for the Rapid A-Line will resume Downtown beginning July 22nd and will require periodic lane closures and sidewalk closures. Temporary stops will be used in the Downtown Loop as work is being completed on the platforms, including Passenger Information Display systems and other finishing touches that will improve the Rapid A-Line experience. For the latest construction updates, please visit the Rapid A-Line website. We encourage riders to check posted signage and allow a little extra travel time.
Construction alerts will also be distributed in advance of significant closures. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are encouraged to plan ahead, as these impacts may affect travel times.
Red Bull Showrun Atlanta Impacts:
Beginning
Wednesday at 9:00 PM through
Sunday at 6:00 PM, the
Rapid A-Line will operate on a continuous detour due to road closures associated with the Red Bull Showrun in Downtown Atlanta.
During this time, buses will detour via
Georgia Avenue, and select stations along the Hank Aaron corridor will be temporarily relocated or unavailable.
Please allow extra travel time and follow posted signage directing you to temporary bus stops.
Detour Begins: Wednesday, 9:00 PM
Regular Service Resumes: Sunday, 6:00 PM
Thank you for your patience as we work with our partners to safely accommodate this special event while continuing to provide reliable transit service.
On-street parking:
Important Reminder: No Parking In Designated Rapid A-Line Bus-Only Lanes
As construction progresses, residents, customers, and visitors are reminded that portions of the curb lane along Hank Aaron Drive are being repurposed into dedicated bus-only lanes for the Rapid A-Line. These lanes are part of the public right-of-way and are not designated parking areas. Vehicles parked in these locations may obstruct construction activities, delay transit operations, and impact the safe movement of buses and other roadway users. Please remember vehicles parked in restricted areas may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
Please be mindful of the sudden changes in traffic and flaggers directing traffic. Plan accordingly, as these rolling traffic shifts may cause some delays. Vehicles that block construction activity will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Construction Impacts
Low-impact construction may continue after scheduled hours when traffic is at its lowest, and crew members will comply with local noise ordinances. The construction crew may also work during weekends to maintain the project schedule during periods of inclement weather. Rolling lane closures along Hank Aaron Drive will be ongoing as station construction continues. Please look for posted signage for detailed parking and lane restriction instructions when traveling the corridor.
