More MARTA is bringing new types of rapid transit to Atlanta, including faster types of bus service.
There are two types of rapid bus service in the More MARTA plan:
ART: Arterial Rapid Transit
BRT: Bus Rapid Transit
To get a better idea of how these enhanced bus systems work, we went to see them in action in Los Angeles. MARTA leadership and several Atlanta City Council Members visited LA Metro to experience their bus system first hand.
