Peachtree Center Station restrooms are closed for renovations through late May 2026. Please use restrooms at nearby stations to the north (Civic Center, North Avenue, Midtown) or the south (West End).
Current Status
Phased design and construction. Construction is in progress at Peachtree Center and Lakewood/Fort McPherson. Restrooms at four stations are completed. Full program completion is set for 2029.
Project Overview
The Smart Restrooms Program includes a renovation of customer and operator restrooms at 36 MARTA rail stations. These new facilities are designed with safety and comfort in mind.
Key Features
- Touchless toilet, sink, soap, and toilet paper dispensers for improved sanitation and hygiene
- Connected to MARTA Maintenance Control Center to track and restock restroom supplies
- Enhanced safety and security features including a two-way emergency alarm system
- Smart-motion sensors to prevent loitering
- New walls and tile
- Baby changing stations
Station Timeline
New smart restrooms have been installed at East Point, SEC District Station, Doraville, and H.E. Holmes Stations.
Peachtree Center and Lakewood/Fort McPherson construction is scheduled for completion in late May 2026.
