Construction for the current phase is complete. Additional stations will be upgraded in future phases as needs and funding allow.
Project Overview
The Smart Restrooms Program includes a renovation of customer and operator restrooms at 36 MARTA rail stations. These new facilities are designed with safety and comfort in mind.
Key Features
- Touchless toilet, sink, soap, and toilet paper dispensers for improved sanitation and hygiene
- Connected to MARTA Maintenance Control Center to track and restock restroom supplies
- Enhanced safety and security features including a two-way emergency alarm system
- Smart-motion sensors to prevent loitering
- New wall and floor tile
- Baby changing stations
Renovated Stations
New smart restrooms have been installed at the following stations:
- Doraville
- East Point
- H.E. Holmes Stations
- Lakewood/Fort McPherson
- Peachtree Center
- SEC District Station
