RIDER ALERT:
Improvements will require temporary, rolling entrance closures at Peachtree Center beginning Monday, March 30, 2026, through late May. Both elevators and at least one entrance on the north and south end will remain open during the project. Customers should follow signs to open entrances. Please see additional details below.
- Monday, March 30 – Friday, April 17, 2026 (estimated): Southeast entrance (Streetcar stop side near Georgia Pacific building) closed. Southeast elevator remains open.
- Use the elevator or cross Peachtree Street to reach the escalator at the southwest entrance (library side).
- Tuesday, April 7 – Friday, April 24, 2026 (estimated): Northwest entrance (post office side) closed. Northwest elevator remains open.
- Use the elevator or cross Peachtree Street to reach the escalator at the northeast entrance (food court side). The post office will remain open. .
- Date dependent on previous phase: Southwest entrance (library side) closed.
- Cross Peachtree Street to reach the elevator or escalator at the southeast entrance (Streetcar stop side near Georgia Pacific building)..
- Date dependent on previous phase: Northeast entrance (food court side) closed.
- Cross Peachtree Street to reach the elevator or escalator at the northwest entrance (post office side). The street entrance to the food court and retail shops will remain open.
Peachtree Center’s restrooms are closed until late May for installation of new smart restrooms. Use restrooms at nearby stations to the north (Civic Center, North Avenue, Midtown) or the south (West End).

Current Status
The first wave of construction began in February 2026 and is scheduled to be complete in late May 2026. Future rehabilitation work is planned at Peachtree Center and information will be shared once available.

Project Overview
As a part of MARTA’s ongoing Station Rehabilitation Program to renovate all 38 rail stations, Peachtree Center Station is being renovated to enhance station functionality, cleanliness, and design.
Project features:
- Escalator repairs
- Granite repairs
- Pressure washing
- Deep cleaning
- Repainting with a graffiti-resistant coating
- Drain cover replacement
Full replacement of restrooms with “smart” remote access, new fixtures, and surfaces that are easier to clean.
