Image Description: The image above shows the completed parking lot at Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station with fresh pavement, newly painted crosswalks, ADA parking spots, and curbs, and updated landscaping.

RIDER ALERT

Starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Hamilton E. Holmes Station’s south Kiss & Ride lane off MLK Jr. Drive will be closed for repaving work. MARTA Bus Route 201 (Six Flags) and CobbLinc Routes 25 and 30 will be temporarily detoured to the north Kiss & Ride lane off Burton Road. Work is scheduled for completion in late May.

Additional information on the Bus Detour at HE Holmes:

  • Customers should use the station’s east faregates and the tunnel to the north parking lot to transfer between buses and trains. Rail and bus service is unchanged.
  • The south parking lot off MLK Jr. Drive and south pedestrian access to the station will remain open during this project. The western driveway on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive will be closed. Use the eastern driveway.
  • MARTA Routes 3, 51, 50, 66, 68, 73, 153, 165, 850, 856, 865, and 867 will continue boarding in the bus loop at HE Holmes.
  • Customers should follow signs and listen for announcements.

Current Status

Five stations are complete: Brookhaven, College Park, Inman Park/Reynoldstown, Kensington, and Oakland City.

The south Kiss & Ride lane at HE Holmes will be repaved during April and May of 2026. West End and Chamblee Stations are in progress, but completion is postponed due to funding. An updated construction schedule will be shared as soon as it’s available.

Project Overview

MARTA is making improvements to parking lots at eight stations. Besides paving, we’re improving ADA access, crosswalks, sidewalks, adding more ADA parking spaces, upgrading to LED lighting, landscaping, and more.

Parking, pedestrian access, and potentially bus access may be affected while upgrades are made. Those will be communicated well in advance to customers. At this time, we expect the number of spaces at each station to meet the current needs of our customers throughout the projects. All stations will have parking available during repaving.
