Beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2026, access to Lenox Station from East Paces Ferry Road (mall side) will be closed for the first phase of skylight replacement on the southern concourse.

• Customers approaching from Lenox Mall on East Paces Ferry Road must walk on the west side of the street and enter the station on Lenox Road. Please follow signs for the pedestrian sidewalk detour. 
• Station access and ADA access remains.
• Rail and bus service are not affected.  
• This work is expected to last 4-5 weeks.

Current Status

Southern skylights (mall side) under construction. Expected completion in early 2027. Northern skylight replacement and plaza renovation completed in summer 2025.

Overview

MARTA is renovating Lenox Station as a part of a multi-decade program to repair and renovate all 38 of its heavy rail stations. Portions of the rail system are more than 40 years old and require extensive maintenance to maintain safe and quality rides. 

During this project, upgrades will be made to the concourse skylights, plaza pavers, and north pedestrian skybridge. Upgraded security features will be installed, as well as fresh landscaping and paint, and the station will get a deep cleaning. 

Skylight Replacement 
The Lenox concourse skylights have reached the end of their useful life and are being replaced for the first time since the station opened more than 40 years ago. New skylights help protect the station against water and other elements and enhance the customer experience by letting natural light into the station.
