Performance (April 2018):

The Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $3.53 in April exceeded the forecast by $0.25, or 8%. This unfavorable variance was due to rail ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.6 million unlinked passenger boardings and expenses coming over budget. The 2018 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through April) Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $3.39 exceeded the forecast by $0.09, or 3%. This unfavorable variance is due to rail ridership falling short of the forecast by 5.4 million unlinked passenger boardings.
