Project Overview

Brookhaven Station underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation to enhance safety, accessibility, and convenience, under MARTA’s Station Rehabilitation Program. Located next to the renovated station, Brookhaven’s new City Centre opened in August 2025.

A major milestone of the project was the replacement of platform pavers in the Fall of 2024. During the six-week Skip Stop from October to November 2024, construction crews removed the 40-year-old, deteriorating pavers on the platform to ensure customer safety and accessibility to the station.

Additional station improvements included tile replacements, enhancements to the tunnel connecting the parking lot to the station, and the installation of benches and trash receptacles.
