MARTA will be selling Breeze Tickets at the America’s Marathon Weekend Experience. Avoid lines at the Breeze Vending Machines by purchasing your tickets in advance!

Rail Information

  • Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28- All lines will run regular weekday schedules
  • Saturday, Feb. 29- Service will begin at 5:50 am

Cheer on the Olympic Hopefuls at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon

Spectators will have the opportunity to see the competitors in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon up to six times as they run the looped course. Here are some of the best spots to watch the race unfold and how to get to those spots on MARTA:

 

Location: Intersection to Ivan Allen Blvd. and Peachtree St.

Number of times runners will pass: 6 (~1.1 mi, 5.5 mi, 9.1 mi, 13.5mi , 17.1 mi, 21.5 mi)

Closest Marta Station: Peachtree Center (.45 mi)

Overview: Located at the center of the main eight mile loop, this location allows spectators to see the participants pass six times.  Additionally, for those looking to see the finish, Centennial Olympic Park and Andrew Young International Blvd at only a mile away.  Meaning, you will only have to travel a mile in the time it takes the athletes cover 4.7 to see them a seventh time.

 

Location: Intersection of Forsyth and Marietta 

Number of times runners will pass: 5 (~.5 mi, 7.5 mi, 8.5 mi, 15.5mi , 16.5 mi)

Closest Marta Station: Five Points (.25 mi)

Overview: Located near the near the downtown turn, this location is a prime spot to see the athletes as the start the race and as they complete the first and second loops.  Additionally, with a short walk (3-4 blocks) the athletes can be seen a sixth and final time at either the 25 mile mark (Peachtree and MLK) or as they finish along Andrew Young International Blvd.

 

Location: Publik Draft House, Intersection of Ponce De Leon and Peachtree - 654 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

Number of times runners will pass: 6 (~1.5 mi, 5.0 mi, 9.5 mi, 13.0mi , 17.5 mi, 21.0 mi)

Closest Marta Station: North Avenue (.1 mi)

Overview: Located next to the Historic Fox Theatre, the Publik Draft House is great spot to cheer on America's best marathoners.  Attendees will be treated to food and drink specials while being able to not only see the athletes in person, but watch the broadcast love on NBC.                                                                                     

 

Location: Hudson Grille Midtown - 942 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

Number of times runners will pass: 6 (~2.25 mi, 4.5, 10.25, 12.5, 18.25, 20.5)

Closest Marta Station: Midtown (.25 mi)  

Overview: Located in the heart of Midtown, Hudson Grille is an excellent spot to view the race.  With ample seating, televisions gallor, a 2nd floor patio and food and drink specials this spot will be rocking.

 

Location: Hudson Grille Downtown - 120 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

Number of times runners will pass: 3 (.25 mi, 8, 16)

Closest Marta Station: CNN Center (.25 mi)  

Overview: Located directly across from Centennial Olympic Park, Hudson Grille is an excellent spot to view the race.  With ample seating, televisions gallor, a giant patio facing the course and food and drink specials will be right in the middle of the action.  Additionally, Andrew Young International BLVD is only one block away, so spectors looking to see the finish will be able to have quick access.
