RIDER ALERT

As of Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, the East-West (E-W) Center Platform at Five Points has reopened to ALL transfers (customers transferring to/from northbound and southbound trains).

As we approach the final stages of the Five Points Station Rehabilitation project, crews will need to temporarily close some stair/escalator sets beginning Monday, Feb. 16 for ceiling installation and tile replacement at the landings. Customers should follow signs posted inside the station. Closures will occur in phases and are scheduled to last about two months.

Some weekend single-tracking will occur. For more single tracking information, click here. Thanks for your patience!

Current Status

Construction. Platform construction is expected to be complete in summer 2026.

Overview

At the heart of downtown Atlanta, Five Points is MARTA’s busiest station and the central transfer point between all rail lines. This rehabilitation project includes a full renovation of both the East-West and North-South platform levels below the concourse level.

Construction began in 2022 and will continue through 2026. Service will continue throughout the project, although customers may see some areas and access points closed periodically. These impacts will be communicated to our customers through announcements, signage, and social media.
