Combined Ridership (unlinked trips)
Definition: Unlinked trips are counted each time passengers board MARTA vehicles (for example, a passenger’s journey from the Airport station to the final destination may require two unlinked trips - taking a train to a station and then transferring to a bus to complete the one-way travel).
Performance (February 2026):
Combined Ridership for the month of February was 6,007,483 unlinked passenger boardings, exceeding the forecast by 926,186. This is due to a changed methodology for collecting rail ridership starting in January 2026. Rail ridership will be estimated based on manual counts for a statistically valid sample.
