Key Performance Indicators

Definition: Measures the number of Part 1 Crimes, which includes four violent crimes (Homicide, Forcible Rape, Aggravated Assault, and Robbery) and four property crimes (Larceny/Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, Burglary, and Arson) per one million unlinked passenger boardings.

Performance (March 2017):

In March, did not meet the Target; the actual being 4.79 - mostly due to an increase in Larceny, Motor Vehicle and Burglary related crimes. The number of Robbery and Aggravated Assault related crimes went down. The overall number of Part I Crimes increased by 37%.
