Key Performance Indicators

Definition: Measures the number of Part 1 Crimes, which includes four violent crimes (Homicide, Forcible Rape, Aggravated Assault, and Robbery) and four property crimes (Larceny/Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, Burglary, and Arson) per one million unlinked passenger boardings.

Performance (May 2017):

In May, met the Target; the actual being 2.68 - due to a 36% decrease in the number of Aggravated Assault related crimes and 24% decrease in that related to Larceny. The overall number of Part I Crimes fell by 28% from 39 in April to 28 in May.
