Key Performance Indicators

Definition: Measures the number of Part 1 Crimes, which includes four violent crimes (Homicide, Forcible Rape, Aggravated Assault, and Robbery) and four property crimes (Larceny/Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft, Burglary, and Arson) per one million unlinked passenger boardings.

Performance (April 2017):

In April, met the Target; the actual being 3.73 - mostly due to a 36% decrease in Larceny related crimes, an 83% decrease in Motor Vehicle related crimes and a 100% decrease in Burglary related crimes. The overall number of Part I Crimes decreased by 23% from 52 in March to 40 in April.
