Rail On-Time Performance

Definition: Measures how closely the service ran to schedule (delays no longer than 5 minutes), as experienced by the customer. Many factors affect on-time performance. Factors such as mechanical problems, or speed restrictions are within our control. Others like medical emergencies are not. Regardless of the cause, MARTA strives to work around problems, minimize delay, and maximize on-time performance.

Performance (December 2017):

In December, met the Target; the actual being 97.31%. 123 delays were passenger related (medical emergencies/door obstructions/police interventions), 307 delays were related to rail car failures, 34 delays were related to supporting equipment issues and 22 delays were weather related.
