Rail On-Time Performance

Definition: Measures how closely the service ran to schedule (delays no longer than 5 minutes), as experienced by the customer. Many factors affect on-time performance. Factors such as mechanical problems, or speed restrictions are within our control. Others like medical emergencies are not. Regardless of the cause, MARTA strives to work around problems, minimize delay, and maximize on-time performance.

Performance (March 2017):

In March, met the Target; the actual being 96.24%. 205 delays were due to passenger related issues (medical emergencies/door obstructions/police interventions), 235 delays were due to rail car related issues, 133 delays were due to track work and 65 delays were rail operator related.
