Making A Better Community Through The Hands Of Others
History
For over 25 years, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority has been serving the community; not only through transportation and environmental challenges, but also through community and charitable efforts. The Charity Club has raised an estimated $600,000 annually from both employee donations and volunteer efforts, making MARTA employees one of Atlanta's major contributors for both Atlanta and surrounding communities. MARTA's Charity Club is responsible for linking employees to non-profit organizations and resources that provide goods and services to the socio-economically disadvantaged. The Charity Club prides itself in providing the metro Atlanta community with over 6,000 hours of community service through food and shelter initiatives.
How We Do It
The Charity Club hosts a variety of fund-raising campaigns and activities throughout the year and works in conjunction with the Payroll Department to offer a convenient resource for employees to make a tax-deductible donation. Payroll deductions can be started in as little as two weeks and offer flexibility and control over the amount being deducted. "I Want To Make A Contribution"
Together, the Charity Club and MARTA employees can make a tremendous impact on the needs of the communities we serve. The best way for employees to get started is by getting involved. To get involved, contact:
