QUALIFICATIONS: MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD,
A UNITED STATES CITIZEN, AND HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
OR EQUIVALENT. The successful candidate will have one of
the following:
- Two or more years of college
- One completed term of Honorable Military Service
- POST Certified Peace Officer or Corrections Officer
- Completion of a Pre-Service Academy
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Background investigation to
include criminal history records check, polygraph examination,
and credit check. Physical examination, including drug/alcohol
screen and psychological test will be required. Must possess
a valid driver’s license.
SALARY
- $35,609.60 = POST Academy Training
- $37,024.00 = POST Academy Completion/HS Diploma
- $38,500.80 = POST Academy Completion/2 yrs. of college
- $40,040.00 = POST Academy Completion/Bachelor’s
degree
- GA POST Certified Police Officers with 2 or more years
of Law Enforcement experience will receive Senior
Officer Pay.
On-site prescreening will be conducted. To speed up the

HS Diploma, College Degree and/or transcripts, Birth Certificate,
Social Security Card, Drivers License, DD Form 214 (if applicable),
and a 7 year Motor Vehicle Records check.
