Regional Planning represents the Authority with regional, state, federal, and local agencies and participates in studies and projects throughout the region. This branch also conducts long-range planning which includes guiding system expansion projects through various Federal Funding processes, ridership modeling and identifying future locations for capital expansion projects (fixed-guideway, bus rapid transit, light rail transit, etc.). This branch also develops and reviews environmental impact analyses as well as historical and archaeological studies as required by State and Federal laws.
