MARTA's Board of Directors and its staff are
committed to providing equal opportunity to all. Providing
our services with fair and equitable distribution, regardless
of neighborhood, is a conscious part of the planning and the
operation of our public transportation system. The participation
of small, minority and female owned businesses is an important
aspect of our commitment to the community. As part of this
commitment, we assist Disadvantaged Businesses (small, minority
and women owned companies) in performing on MARTA projects
and in providing services to our agency.
MARTA’s commitment to equal opportunity is based in the
diversity of the metropolitan Atlanta area. All of our services
and programs are accessible to every resident in our service
area and in the Atlanta region. Since its inception MARTA
has been a major catalyst in the development and growth of
disadvantaged businesses in our region. We will continue our
